I had someone tell me that a cashier told them they can only use two coupons. That’s true if they are the same internet coupon, but not the regular newspapers coupons. You can use up to 12 “newspaper” coupons. Yay for non-internet coupons! Stores limit them because there have been too many instances of fraud with them. I don’t see that changing which means manufacturers should put them into the coupon inserts instead.<\/p>\n

I recommend printing out a stores coupon policy if their cashiers give you a hard time. Present it as needed. And let managment know when the cashier is incorrect. Rookie cashiers have to learn the ropes and they don’t always get it right, so you have to be patient with them. Management may have not trained them well either. It’s the ones that get nasty that management needs to know about before you give them a karate chop for being not so pleasant. Those cashiers should also realize that they may not be right and should get verification. Plus they should also realize that the ever-changing coupon policies are confusing to customers so they need to be understanding of that too.<\/p>\n

VOLLEYBALL<\/strong>
\nWe won the first round of playoffs last week. This week we had to play another round of playoffs before we could get to the championship game. The first team had some youngsters on it that can play well. Sometimes the young teams don’t have that veteran calm though and implode. And implode they did as one player just went off when we noticed the net moving and nobody called it (no refs so we have to call our faults). He said he did, but after ranting and raving we reminded him that nobody heard him. No worries as we beat them in two games.<\/p>\n

Next up was another young team that was usually scrappy. After we beat them 21-5 in the first game we could smell a win…or maybe it was the free food buffet they offered up on the last week of the season. The second game they battled. It was 19-18 and we just needed two more to win. We didn’t want to go to a game 3. One of the guys I play with, Scott (and graduated with from North High), dinked a couple in at the end to seal the victory! Championship shirts for all! It’s been awhile since we won it all so it was good to get the win. For the season we went 51-7. Shabby that was not. <\/p>\n

The guy that went off on us came by later and apologized. Competition sometimes brings the worst out in people …and the best.<\/p>\n
