Granted you might end up blowing tons of money in Vegas so pinching pennies getting there means nothing, but hey that extra dollar you save may get you an extra spin on the roulette table that will extend you gambling experience by another minute.

Vegas means finding food deals and some fine entertainment tickets at a discount. Celine Dion is not there anymore, but you can see Cher now. I’d like to see a cage match between those two. Now that would be worth my hard-earned money. As tough as Cher is I think Celine has some tricks up her sleeve. All she would need to do is poke her boney fingers at Cher and I think Cher would tap out.

For flights your best bet is to try kayak.com or even Priceline. Check Southwest.com separately too since they don’t participate on travel aggregator sites. The prices tend to drop Tuesday PM and Wednesday AM, but check frequently as the price changes all day. Just don’t wait until the last minute to get a ticket. You’ll pay tons more otherwise. Plan at least 3 months in advance if you can.

Sign up to get airline’s e-mail deals online and they will send you last minute specials. Also sign up to http://www.farecompare.com and have it notify you when prices drop for the flight. You can set it up in increments of $10 and up.

When you get to the airport pick up all the coupon books they have there.

Sites like Expedia.com offer last minute deals to Vegas. Even Jet Blue airlines offers Vegas packages at JetBlue.com.

For hotels check hotels.com along with kayak and Priceline. Try http://www.betterbidding.com for ways to get the best price via Priceline. Also call the hotel and ask for manager that has authorization to offer a better deal than what’s online.

Sign up for all the member benefits for the casino and their e-mails to get their specials.

Try purchasing the Entertainment book for the city to get good restaurant and entertainment and ticket deals. Prices for food have gone up, so getting a book will help get you a good deal for food. Also sing up to http://www.idine.com to get additional money back from your restaurant visit from 5% to 20% and it includes tax, tip, and alcohol.

They have deals at special booths around town too. Just beware of the fine people that flit “deals” that they try to hand to you on the sidewalks. They aren’t coupons unless you consider getting a free disease a good deal.

See if your hotel will give you complimentary tickets. Ask the concierge where the deals are too. They are usually up on what’s going on around town.

There are a lot of free things to see in Vegas from the nighly Pirate show at Ceasers, the light show at the Fremont Experience downtown and the daily interaction between drunks, gamblers that lost everything, ladies of the evening, and fiddle-playing bums. I think that is the evolution of a gambler as it is.

Go to restaurant.com for restaurant deals in Vegas. There is a 70% off code now (SPORK). Got to restaurant.com.

There are a lot of free things to see in Vegas from the nightly Pirate show at Treasuer Island, the light show at the Fremont Experience downtown and the daily interaction between drunks, gamblers that lost everything, ladies of the evening, and fiddle-playing bums.
