\nSo far this year we’ve had three different cardinal nests in our yard. There is one active one and I can’t wait to have their strawberry-flavored eggs for breakfast! Just kidding! They’re not strawberry-flavored. Just kidding! We only eat chicken eggs. We’re looking forward to being host parents to their babies. <\/p>\n

Not sure why we are getting so many cardinals in our yard. They portend people that have passed visiting. But when they camp out in your yard, what does that mean? Our rent is low, so maybe that might be it. <\/p>\n

Their nests are some of the poorest constructed in the bird world. It’s like they got lazy and put just enough twigs together to plop some eggs into them. Very see-through. No pillows. No curtains.
