\nALASKA<\/strong>
\nSomeone recently asked me about a cheap flight to Alaska. Hard to think about going to someplace colder in the middle of winter, but Alaska is a beautiful and definitely worth seeing. I’ve been to all 50 states and that is one of my favorites. Here is what I told them.<\/p>\n

We did a cruise to Alaska and that’s what I’d recommend if you have the time. Reason being, if you fly to Vancouver or Seattle where the ship’s ports are located you can cut reduce the price of the ticket. You can do a cruise that goes from Vancouver, Canada or Seattle to Anchorage and end the cruise there and fly back home from Anchorage. You can find a cruise for as low as $299 per person! Very cheap. A flight to Anchorage itself would cost at least double that and if you fly roundtrip our of Seattle or Vancouver you can sometimes find flights for around $300 roundtrip from Cleveland. So in essence, you get a free cruise or close to free cruise!<\/p>\n

Cruising to Alaska starts at the end of April, but I recommend checking it out in the summer around August since you can see the salmon run and eat ripe berries at that time aside from the warmer weather that allows you to get around easier and enjoy watching the sights outdoors from the ship. There are also more excursions to do. When we went there we went snorkeling. Yep, in the cold water. We had to wear wetsuits. The water was murky so I didn’t see much, but it was neat. I’m just glad a killer whale didn’t mistake me for a seal as I did plump up during the cruise.<\/p>\n
