\nKeep an eye as country after country decides they’ve had enough of their current rulers in the Middle East and North Africa and that could spread into other regions as they see them succeed disposing them. Watch gas prices skyrocket as supply is effected by all the unrest. I wouldn’t be surprised to see gas near $5 a gallon over summer. However, as long as the rulers abdicate rule or make drastic changes we should be ok. This is a great thing happening. It’s unprecedented and historic and for the better because the oppressed have a voice that is being heard. <\/p>\n

It’s like the old Proverbs say, He who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and he who gives gifts to the rich – both come to poverty. Do not exploit the poor because they are poor and do not crush the needy in court for the Lord will take up their case and will plunder those who plunder them.<\/p>\n

I got a kick out of this snippet about the King of Saudi Arabia trying to quell the unrest by handing out dough. He announced an action plan to help lower- and middle-income people by giving them benefits worth some $37 billion in an apparent bid to insulate the world’s top oil exporter from an Arab protest wave. It includes pay rises to offset inflation, unemployment benefits and affordable family housing. Saudi Arabia has so far escaped popular protests against poverty, corruption and oppression, so we’ll see if this helps. Even Moammar Gadahafi is doling out cash to its people and saying he will give huge raises to public workers. Too late bud.<\/p>\n

MCDONALDS <\/strong>
\nHave you seen that commercial from McDonalds for the new caramel macchiato where a guy and gal do this sitting “dance” with the coffee? It just looks so idiotic. They do this tippy-tappy thing on the table and swing their coffee cups around like as if they were drunk mimes. Why they decided to plan out some elaborate dance with their coffee I don’t know. So I decided to do the same thing myself to see if it did anything for me. <\/p>\n

I first had to plan a routine. Do I find a partner? What makes me happy at McDonalds enough to dance with it? How can I make it unique? <\/p>\n

After many nights of practicing my routine I made my way up the local McDonalds to perform. I did decide on bringing a partner and I brought my cat, Dummy, with me. Everyone else turned me down, so I had to go with any willing partner and the cat was it. I enjoy eating the Big Macs there, so I ordered two of them. I placed one in front of me and one in front of the cat. I was nervous. I could feel beads of sweat forming on my forehead as I went over the routine in my head. The cat seemed oblivious of the importance of what we were doing. <\/p>\n

I made sure I went during rush hour so that I would have plenty of people watching me. To start off the “dance” I used a secret word so that my cat, Dummy, and I would synchronize the start of the routine. We stared like zombies straight-forward. I grabbed the sandwich and asked my cat to do the same. I then blurted the secret word which was <\/p>\n

The first part of the routine we jabbed each other in the mouth with the sandwich. I was hungry so I took a bite or two as the cat jabbed the Big Mac in my mouth even though that wasn’t part of the planned routine. We then twirled the Big Macs around like helicopters with tourists in them viewing a volcano crater. Some of the Big Mac special sauce dripped on the cats head. That wasn’t in the plans either. <\/p>\n

We banged on the table with our fists although I don’t think a cat can make a fist. I got creative on the next step and did some jumping jacks with the sandwich in my mouth while I pounded my head. That seemed to get the crowd interested. We then gazed at each other while we sneezed. I shouldn’t have taken the bite out of the Big Mac just before that because there was now a pickle sliver on the cats eye after that sneeze. The routine lasted about a half hour. I stopped only because the Big Macs we had were now in smithereens. <\/p>\n

It was fun and now I can see why they did the dance. My initial apprehension and nervousness melted after we got into it. I thought everything went well, but I’m no longer allowed to step foot in the local McDonalds. <\/p>\n
