At one point many stores didn’t take them due to issues with fraud. However, stores had pressure to accept them because manufacturers want to move people to printing their own coupons instead of the manufacturers putting their coupons in coupon inserts which costs them money.

I’m not crazy about internet coupons because they cost money and time to print? Many people don’t coupon because it takes too much time to print them, so I don’t see printing internet coupons replacing coupon inserts. Some have you fill out all kinds of information before you can print the coupon which adds more time to the process. Using your own computer also adds to the cost in electricity, paper, the cost of the PC, etc. If you have an inkjet printer you are paying much more per printed page than printing from a laserjet printer, sometimes double or more. Printer manufactures sell inkjet printers cheap knowing that consumers will buy it because it is cheap, but not really notice that the consumables like inkjet toner cost a ton.

Check the cost to print a page by dividing the yield of the toner into the cost of the toner.

Some people Photoshopped coupons which, of course, is illegal. Some of those coupons were e-mailed around. Most of them are ‘free after’ coupons. Most stores have policies not to accept ‘free after’ coupons. Unfortunately that confuses some cashiers and store management into thinking that their store doesn’t take any internet coupons. Find out if an Internet coupon is fraudulent on the Coupon Information Corporation’s web-site at http://www.cents-off.com/body_coupon_counterfeiters.cfm.

Someone at one of my recent classes said that their Giant Eagle didn’t take internet coupons. That one store was mistaken as shown in their policy here that they accept internet coupons:
http://www.gianteagle.com/about/policies#Coupon

Their policy states:
Printed Internet coupons
– The coupon must be obtained from a legitimate site.
– A maximum of two “like” coupons will be accepted.
– Giant Eagle® DOES NOT accept the following Printed Internet Coupons:
“FREE with no purchase necessary” and “Buy One Get One Free”.
We reserve the right to refuse any coupons that we believe to be photo copied, counterfeit or invalid for any other reason.
Any coupon with a value over $3 will not be accepted except where advertised by Giant Eagle® for a specific promotion.

In those cases it’s good to show the store their own policy. Some cashiers and management get a little overzealous in managing coupons and turn off shoppers from even going to their store. Some stores have the right to go against their own rules especially if they are indepenently owned, but that sets a bad precedent and makes it confusing for the shopper. I’d complain to headquarters in those situations when the store rules don’t match their online coupon policy. My take is that if the store workers and management can’t get the rules right then how can the customers.

Some stores can set their own policies that benefit the customer too. You won’t see me complaining there.

In essence, the rules are there to stop people from taking advantage of the store. Understandable. But just like a 25 mph speed limit, most everyone will go 26 mph or higher while they are driving, so that means everyone should get arrested for doing so!? Well, of course not, but it gives stores discretion just like a cop that pulls you over.

One thing to remember about internet coupons is that they can’t be copied. They have their own unique UPC identifier so that they can only be used once. That being said, typically, internet coupons can be printed twice with each having its own unique identifier. Sometimes hitting the backspace key a few times will allow the coupon to be reprinted. Each PC/laptop IP address is considered unique so you can print two at each of your PC’s/laptops.

NETZERO
Get low cost internet rates with NetZero.
Get NetZero Internet for as low as $6.95 per month!
Sign up now for your first month free of NetZero Platinum!

http://tinyurl.com/89aco2p

PHARMACYCHECKER
Find prescription drugs at a discount on http://www.pharmacychecker.com. The site is an online prescription site. Someone that went to one of my classes said they saved $300 on the site.

BUG REMEDIES
Why pay tons of money to get rid of bugs in your house when you can use natural remedies or contraptions.

Are cockroaches roaming all over your house and in and out of your orifices while you sleep? If you want to get rid of them try this:
Get a mason jar and rubberband a paper towel around the top rim of it with part of it touching the floor. Inside the jar put a slice or two of a banana. Please don’t get hungry and eat the banana slices after you put them in the jar. Put the jar in an area frequented by cockroaches. The next morning check the jar. You will find out how many nasty cockroaches you have by how full the jar is. How it works is that they walk into the jar via the paper towel and fall in to get to the tantalizing banana. They can’t get out since the side of the jar is slippery for them. Another tip: Put one of these in a house you’re planning to purchase.

Is your head or your kid’s head a motel for lice? Get rid of those deadbeat lice with this solution:
Soak your hair with Listerine and cover it with a showercap for about an hour. Do some shopping or whatever you like to do during that hour in public, not that it has anything to do to fix the issue, but it is for my amusement. Afterwards rinse your hair with vinegar which helps loosen the nits glued to your hair. Comb them out and use them for pie or whatever recipe that calls for lice.

Do Mosquitos seem to be attracted to you? It could be your blood type they smell. Throw them off by eating garlic. They, like humans, don’t enjoy someone that smells like garlic.

Potato bugs…find them under rocks…and in your mashed potatoes?

BUGS IN YOUR FOOD
Did you hear recently how Starbucks used cochineal extract, a code word for bug stuff, to color it’s strawberries & cream Frappuccino? They used a ground up bug indigenous to Latin America to color the drink. They used dried eggs and bodies of the female Dactylopius coccus, a beetle-like insect that preys on cactus plants for the pigment. The ingredient is sometimes called carmine. It takes 70,000 insects to make one pound of cochineal. You can find it in Tropicana’s non-refrigerated ruby red grapefruit juice and Dole’s fruit-n-gel products. Starbucks just announced though that they are now going to use a tomato-based coloring for it.

Red Dye #40 isn’t the bug stuff. It’s derived from coal. Oh, that’s better!

Makeup has a lot of bug stuff in it. You probably don’t realize that you have a crushed bug or two on you lips with your lipstick and on your eyes with your eyeshadow. It’s contained in some shampoos too.

The FDA allows bug parts in food too. You would think I’m joking about it, but no, it’s true. Pretty much all food and even chocolate has bug and rodent parts that are allowed to be in them up to a certain amount. The FDA takes action when the limits below are exceeded. Are you ready now for that diet you’ve been saying you want to go on? It’s like you’re on your own little episode of Fear Factor.
