RED PLUM COUPON INSERTS<\/strong>
\nLooks like the Red Plum inserts will no longer be available in the Akron Beacon Journal. Until recently the ABJ has the Red Plum coupon inserts in them while the PD didn\u2019t because Red Plum (Valassis) says the PD doesn\u2019t reach a designated market share of homes. Now the ABJ doesn’t contain the Red Plum inserts either. <\/p>\n

Find out if the Red Plum inserts are in your local paper or are mailed to your home at http:\/\/www.redplum.com\/CouponBook.aspx<\/a>. It now lists getting the insert in the Canton Repository or by getting it mailed to your home for those in Akron. <\/p>\n

In case you don’t have them in your local newspapers and the inserts aren’t mailed to you then you can get added to the Red Plum coupon insert mailing list at http:\/\/www.redplum.com\/mailing-list.aspx<\/a>. I’ve heard of people adding themselves to the list, but they still don’t get them mailed to their home. In those cases complain to Red Plum at 877-823-7119 or send them an e-mail at consumerfeedback@redplum.com.<\/p>\n

The problem with mailing the inserts to homes is that there are times that people don’t get the coupons and there is no recourse to have them resent. If they want to put them in the papers and mail them to homes then it’s a win-win-win, except that Red Plum may have more expenses doing so.<\/p>\n

You can also print Red Plum coupons at http:\/\/www.redplum.com<\/a>, but there are a minimal amount of coupons on the site.<\/p>\n

HAPPY DAYS<\/strong>
\n I have a pet monkey that likes to help me with my daily chores. One day he asked to make dinner. I thought to myself, what\u2019s the harm. I\u2019ve eaten some stuff made by humans that were inedible. So I read the newspaper while I waited for my bounty of food. I told the monkey that if dinner was good I would treat him by purchasing a vinyl record of Muskrat Love. It\u2019s his favorite.<\/p>\n

As I sat back on the couch and went through each section of the paper I could hear the clanging and lots of other noise going on in the kitchen. <\/p>\n

I was deep into a Family Circus comic when the smell of what I thought was cabbage and carrots wafted through the still air. I started to drool on the comics section. Not because of the smell of the food, but because I started to nap. Usually the Family Circus comic has me so jacked up angry or tearful or knee-slapping happy with Jeffy\u2019s antics, but this time I was sleepy because I stayed up late the night before trying to draw a spleen in an Etch A Sketch.<\/p>\n

I hear the monkey chirping something furious. He must be working hard to get the recipes right. I make some chirping sounds back, not knowing what the chirping I said meant, but I figured he would get what I meant by my tone and inflections. Just a little encouragement. I\u2019m nice like that.<\/p>\n

I was feeling a little rambunctious so I ran around the house like I seen my cat do at times when it gets wild. They act like they possessed or something. It looked fun so I gave it a try. After I crash-landed into a bale of hay that I keep in the living room for a rustic look I decided I ought to give it a rest.<\/p>\n

I wanted to see how my pet monkey was coming along with the food so I peeked in the kitchen to see what was cookin\u2019. To my surprise I was greeted with a mouth full of sharp teeth and a monkey screeching at me. Ok, feller! Dinner was not ready so I had to leave. <\/p>\n

I found something else to do to pass the time. I always wanted to re-enact a show on Happy Days. Remember when the Fonz caught all those quarters off his elbow to try to set a Guinness World Record? I wanted to see if I could break my personal record so I piled ten quarters on my elbow. I didn\u2019t have any more quarters so I also put some other stuff on my elbow like a toothpick, a chip I found in the garbage, and grape. With a swift downward twist of my hand I grabbed them all. <\/p>\n

The monkey called to let me know dinner was ready. I sat down at the dinner table. The first serving was Welsh rarebit with filberts as best I could make out. Aside from what I believe was the monkey\u2019s hair I thought it was spectacular. For dessert I got a Pop Tart. A snifter of Brandy followed. \u201cWell done!\u201d I exclaimed.<\/p>\n

I asked what he used to make the Welsh rarebit and he pointed towards the cat food and I noticed an empty can of 9 Lives and some kibbles from the bagged day cat food. How could I get mad after he toiled away making dinner. The monkey gave me a look and then said, \u201cHeyyyy\u201d with his thumbs up just like the Fonz. Happy days these are\u2026<\/p>\n
