SUMMERTIME
Have you gotten around to really enjoy summer? Me neither. Too busy. It seems like from the time I get up to the time I go to sleep I am doing something. I don’t remember the last time I kicked back on the couch and did nothing but watch TV. Parents know all too well too how very little downtime they have. But I don’t want to squander such a nice summer. So I put in a request to Mother Nature to extend the day to 36 hours. She sent me a letter back that to do so the earth would have to move slower and that would make people fly off into space because of gravity issues. Scratch that off.
I then wrote a letter to my Congressman asking that something be done. I got a request for a donation and they said they would put a bill through for a “do-nothing” day. I said that must have passed already for them. They never responded back.
I then figured I could get my cats to do my chores so that it will give me more free time. The cats were good at cleaning the dishes, but there was a faint smell of Friskies on the silverware from them licking it clean. They didn’t vacuum because every time they turned it on they would scatter. Same
goes for the leaf blower.
The local zombies were equally as worthless at helping as they were very bad at taking instructions and would just want to wander off. Ghosts didn’t help either because they made too much racket working in the middle of the night.
I came to the conclusion that I would need to sprout a third arm and another head to get all the things done so that I can have time to relax. I’m using Miracle-gro fertiziler and bean sprouts to get started. Wish me luck!
