Has anyone seen the cat lately?
KMART
They are doubling coupons until 7/10. Limit of 5 along with some other rules. Only Health & Beauty coupons. I wish they would up the number to make it worth stopping there. More rules = less deals. With the nearest K-mart a distance away, to me it isn’t always worth the price to drive to the store.
Here’s a list of stores that are doubling (none in the Northeast Ohio area):

HOARDING
Do you hoard? Have you seen the show about OCD or the one on hoarding? Both are mental illnesses. Not actually watching the shows on OCD and hoarding are mental illnesses, but OCD and hoarding itself. Although, my penchant for watching reality shows might qualify for some type of mental illness, especially when I drool on myself while doing so.
By the way, did you see the OCD episode on TV where the gal wiped a biscuit inside the toilet and then ate it. Talk about getting your fiber for the day…
I know people that do hoard. Their mind knows no limit as what to keep and discard. They keep everything. They keep empty bottles, newspapers, string or whatever makes them feel better. Their compulsion is odd. After you’re gone all the stuff ends up in the trash as it is. Some serve a sentimental value. Some of it is saved as just-in-case I need it. Hoarders have a personal tie to each item.
Being a super-shopper that uses the stocking method to get items at a low price means I have a big stock of items at home. In essence, it’s temporary hoarding. Reason being, as we compile enough to develop a stock of items that we will use until the next sale, we make a donation. We donate our excess to a charity, such as a Foodbank, church, or women’s shelter. We do it on a regular basis as not to have too much in stock and so that someone will be able to use the items before they expire.
It’s not like I save mittens that I wore when I was 10 because I might use them again. Although my kid mittens would have many uses. I could use them as a hat for my cats. Or I could put them on my ears when I’m cold. Or perhaps I could use them for my coin purse, not that I use a coin purse, but you never know when some of these things I should throw away would come in handy.
Squirrels are great hoarders. I mean, how many acorns can they hide before they have enough. If I find a buried acorn, I replace it with bubblegum.
I asked one squirrel about their hoarding. They said they prefer to hoard because that is all they think about all day. I told them to get a hobby like collecting stamps or getting a beautician job or something else that will keep their mind off of hoarding. I think I’m making inroads to their behaviors now that I spoke to them about it so keep an eye on some different behavior of squirrels in your neighborhood.
Some folks hoarded ammunition and guns because they feared they’d be taken away by the government. I’m gonna start a rumor that the government is planning to take away corncob pipes. That’ll be after I buy plenty of stock in corncob companies though.
Studies show there are about 3 million hoarders in the U.S.
Chipmunks are good hoarders too. They stuff their mouth full because they don’t have any self storage units. If I start using my mouth to store some of my shopping excess, I think I’m going to do something about that issue.
According to the “Self Storage Demand Study – 2007” (published by the SSA) one in ten U.S. households now rent a self storage unit. How many of them are hoarders?

MAGIC SCISSORS
$5 haircuts – normally $7.99 for adults or $6.99 for kids.
QUITTING
More people quit their jobs than were laid off with 2 million quitting and 1.75 being laid off in April. It reversed a 15 month trend the other way. Quitting exceeded layoffs in all of the decade aside from those 15 months.
Another sign of an improving economy: the number of freight cars carrying garbage increased 45% in April and May of 2010 over 2009. Statistically, the U.S. GDP and the number of freight cars carrying waste are more closely aligned than with any other freight item.
