Notice how long it took for gas prices to go down when a barrel went down 10% in price. We are finally seeing prices around $3.75 and even less. Of course, the bump up during the holidays. Always try to fill up by Tuesday before a holiday weekend. I got mine for $3.59 a gallon.

Check out this story about how some folks allegedly manipulated the oil market. The method caused prices to go and they dumped the oil on the market once they took the profits. A barrel of oil is around $98 now, but some say the real price should be around $60. I hope these crackdowns expose what is going on.

Here’s the story:

I was trying to pay my phone bill online and I couldn’t. After trying to login to my account, there was an error on the page. I called and they said they were having issues. So they said I could pay through an automated system (I’d rather pluck my nose hairs with a wild having-a-bad-day badger) so they offered to charge me $5 to pay through the agent. How nice! Your system goes down, I don’t get a paper bill and that helps bring their costs down, yet they want me to pay to pay my bill and $5 at that!

After I settled down my nerves and went through all their canned responses I got to the point where they said they would waive the $5 fee. How splendid of them! But then I said I needed to be able to get a printed or e-mailed confirmation that I paid. They couldn’t do that. They could only tell me the confirmation number of the payment.

So I spoke with a manager because the agent was getting rude and didn’t have but the pat answers. After the manager gets my phone number in case we get disconnected I go through some more questions. I get to the point where I’m on hold and waiting for the manager to get back on…when I finally notice she isn’t on the line anymore. I hate when that happens. And of course, even though she took my number she never called back. How slimey. So I now plan to wait to pay the bill online. Nose hair plucking badgers don’t sound so bad anymore.

Drugs are horrible and a waste of money and will do nothing but eventually ruin your life. See how horrible they are by checking out these pics of people before and after they are on meth. I found #69/70 to have really made quite a transition. It’s like Gary Busey and Lady Gaga mated and that is what came out.

As you’ll see in the pics meth must really do a number on you skin complexion. I wonder if they caught wind of the Biore sale the other week? And for some reason, people decide that they need to really whack out their hair when they are on meth. Or maybe they all go to the same barber or they cut and dye each other’s hair which might explain things better.

Not done crabbing about stuff. I was at Austins Steakhouse in Mayfield Heights the other week. I called to see if they had happy hour. They said it ends at 6 and that it’s a dollar off drinks. We missed it. No biggee as it’s only $1 off drinks and we had a

I verified the happy hour when we get there and the host guy said yes it ended at 6:00.

As we usually do before we order, we tell the waitress that we have a and we wanted to check to see if it included alcohol. She checked and said yes. That was good as you have to spend $50 there to get $25 off. She then said that wine is half off. Oh happy day! So we upgrade our bottle to a Simi Cab from a BV. I’m kinda pissed that the host and person on the phone didn’t mention the half off wine when I asked about happy hour as it is all night deal.

We eat and had a good meal. That was until the waitress comes over and tells us that she can’t do both the half off wine and together. It was one or the other deal. I was aghast since we told her ahead of time and confirmed everything. She couldn’t do both as that was what management said. So I ask for the manager. He says he can only do both. I crab. He says he can do $10 off the wine and do the He says that the waitress doesn’t recollect what I said even though she did. But I say ok as he is ready to not even give me the $10 off.

I stew some and from what I gathered this manager drives others there batty. The steam in my head percolates to bursting strength again so I call the manager over again. I could see if I didn’t bring up the and alcohol thing ahead of time so I would have to pay, but since I did they really owe it to me to stick to what we confirmed.

He realizes that I was not happy as I ask him what the waitress didn’t recollect and he stammers so he relents and gives me the half off along with the discount. I told them we could’ve just got the bottle at the bar and paid for it there and then sat down for dinner and got both deals (come to find that you have to get two entrees with the deal). A bit shady, but that is one way around it. The manager wasn’t too happy with that suggestion. I also said we could do it when he wasn’t working…we laughed and luckily he sorta did too knowing we were just kidding around.

It comes down to they have to stick to their word. Otherwise people will write about it in their blogs…

Anyway, they do have some deals. Here they are:
Mondays – buy one slab of ribs, get a half slab free.
Wednesdays – Half off bottle of wine with purchase of two entrees.
