SALE ITEMS IN STOCK
Complaining about issues with stores can sometimes pay off. Do it nicely and stick to the facts and most will try to do their best to make you happy. The story about the gal that was told her internet coupons had to be in color was reported to Giant Eagle. They contacted her and apologized profusely and offered her a $25 gift card. Bravo! Glad to see them handle it with tact and a token to show they mean it.
I also sent a message to Walgreens on their Contact Us section on their web-page about their stock issue. I got a call hours later by the store that I listed. He says they will contact their folks about getting more to stock. He also said that he can give a comparable item for free if the free after register rewards item isn’t in stock.
How many of you have experienced issues with the store and never contacted them whether it be items out of stock, bad produce, poor service, or a nasty cashiers? Would you want someone to tell you when there was something you needed to fix or would you want to keep that hidden from you? How else can you make it better otherwise?
Have you ever been surprised when someone told you something that you didn’t realize you did? Some people are too afraid to tell some people what they need to hear because they are afraid of their reaction. Do you no longer talk to a family member or friend because of it? It’s good to be open to criticism. Most people criticize because it comes from the heart. When it doesn’t come from the heart you will know and that deserves a different reaction. But we all need to improve some aspect of our lives.
For instance, my nose whistles when I talk about raisins. I can’t explain it but I get excited talking about raisins and I my nose constricts making it whistle. The more I talked about raisins the louder and higher pitched the whistle would get. I never noticed until someone told me. I wouldn’t have known otherwise. Now I make sure I stuff my nose with tissue before talking raisins gets me excited and my nose whistles.
COUPON UNFRIENDLY STORES
Did you ever have a store that has employees that crab about coupons or treat you poorly because you are using them? That behavior goes against their own policies. If a store doesn’t respect you when using coupons and gives you hard time – even following you or making snide comments – REPORT THEM. Contact their Corporate offices. If employees or a manager don’t like you for using coupons then they should look for a different line of work or work at stores that don’t accept them. And the increased purchase of product allows the store to get bigger discounts with the high volume sales. Coupons are here to stay and people use them because they need to.
I recently heard from one person that the Parmatown Giant Eagle would follow her and made her feel like a criminal. They even commented that she was working the sytem. That is so wrong. Let’s see, if a store within their rules gave away free products wouldn’t you want it!? She didn’t have any luck with Corporate or the store changing their tune even after she contacted them to report the issues.
There are many stores that are run right, including Giant Eagle stores. They love having people do business at their stores following the coupon rules they established. The nasty cashiers need to be brought down a peg or two. People are just trying to save money. Contact the President of the company if issues like this aren’t resolved.

10) When the deli calls your number go into hysterics like as if you won the lottery.
9) Ask the butcher if you can take a few whacks at the beef loins with his butcher knife.
8) Grab all the Playtex and Friskies cat treats off the shelf. Put one in each person’s shopping cart without them seeing you do it. Hang out by the registers to watch it all unfold.
7) Bag groceries at the self scan registers and critique the selections of the shopper’s purchases.
6) Check the eggs like you would normally do but exclaim that you heard one chirp and then make a nest in the corner of the store sit and sit on the eggs until they hatch.
5) Ask the person at the Deli Counter to form your mashed potatoes in your image or the store manager.
4) Return yesterdays newspaper to customer service and state that you want to replace your newspaper because you want the one that shows your favorite baseball team won and not lost the day before.
3) Tell a stock person that you found a great batch of what looks like mold in the bathroom that can be used to make blue cheese in the Deli.
2) Lie frozen stiff in the beer cooler like a raccoon hit by a car with it’s arms and legs straight out. Wait for someone to find you. Shivering, request a blankie and some hohos.
1) Make your own baked goods and set up shop next to the bakery. Offer up free tattoos with each purchase.

My first thought is did she realize that she can get the stuff nearly free with register rewards and coupons. If she got busted would it be worth all the fines and jail time and all. Couldn’t she have done without it? I mean, did she get up and say “I must get my hands on loads of lotion or I will dry up like a tear in the Mojave desert.”. Is there a black market for lotion? What a big dummyhead. If you are that lady and you are reading this please come to one of my classes and I will teach you how to get the stuff for free or nearly free. It’s not that hard to do.
