TRANSFERRED PRESCRIPTION RULING OVERTURNED
Good news! The ruling to limit transferred prescriptions to once a year in Ohio was overturned a couple weeks ago on June 16, 2011. The Pharmacist Board heard us consumers loud and clear and changed their mind. Look for new coupons to appear in ads in the coming months.

BEST BUSINESS STATES
CNBC rated the top states for business. Virginia was first with Texas second. They flipped spots from last year. Texas dropped partly due to a $13.4 billion budget gap. Most interesting is that Ohio jumped up 11 spots and became the most improved state at 23rd overall, mostly due to a multi-year effort to reform the tax code. New Jersey dropped the most. Alaska was 49th and Rhode Island 50th.

Ever wonder about your ancestry. Could you be related to a King or Queen or President. Maybe Yo Yo Ma? Eva Longoria found out she was related to Yo Yo Ma. For all I know I could be related to them too.
When I was in school taking a speech class I did a speech on surnames. I looked up what each person’s last name meant. There were some that were pretty normal like ‘lived in a hut’ or ‘maker of bread’. One guy had a last name of Stropki. In Polish is translates to “vodka drinker”. The class loved that one.
The teacher for the class was a neat guy. He told us the same story every other week. One thing that grossed me out about him was that he had these white things that would appear on his lips. He was old and I think his mouth was corroding or he needed to drink water to keep his saliva from forming specks of yuck. Every so often they would launch in the air. You could see them lining up on his lips as he would talk getting ready to take flight like a squadron of planes on a battleship carrier. You had to be quick to avoid them as sometimes they would fly out rapid fire. Otherwise, you’d have a crusty cocoon form around you that you couldn’t get out of.
I freaked him out one day. He would always give us extra credit if we answered one of his off the wall questions on his tests, usually about capitals. I was pretty good with my capitals. One day I said ask me to name the capital of any country in the world. Any. He didn’t want to at first and I bet him $10 I would get it right. He finally relented and said “what is the capital of the Seychelles?” I knew this one and answered “Victoria”. He jerked around like he was being exorcised. I’m still waiting for my ten bucks.
