I was on WDOK 102.1 FM the other week. I went over the school deals with Trapper Jack, Terry Moir, and Jim McIntyre. They are a fun group. Trapper Jack is nearly blind. He tapes and then edits the spots before their air. Amazing since he must do it by familiarity of the controls.
DANNON SETTLEMENT
I got a check for $15 from the Dannon class action settlement! I had to submit some receipts some time ago that showed I bought the product and fill out some paperwork online. Apparently, the lawsuit claimed that Dannon falsely advertised the health benefits of its Activia and DanActive branded products.
COUPON ORGANIZER
One of my readers (Thanks Anna P!) mentioned to me that she used an empty photo album as her coupon organizer. Some people use baseball card holders. I use a cancelled check organizer from OfficeMax. I tape around it since it gets brittle, especially in the winter. It expandable so it fits tons of coupons and has a lot of sections. Whatever works for you.
Just remember to keep the coupons in your car so that you can get them if you forget them. Hard to use them if they are still on the kitchen counter next to thawing meat.
I use the cardboard backs of paper notepads to put in my coupons for each store. I pull the coupons out of my organizer at home before I go to the stores. That way they are ready to go. Plus it lets me watch some wonderful shows like Spongebob while I’m prepping up.
SPAMMERS
I get people visiting my site that are spammers. They leave comments that imbed their web-site onto their comment. Their wording is just wacky and very general so that it fits into anything you write. I can allow their posts to be displayed or not and I never do. I get a kick out of them though.
