HAUNTED HOTELS
Want to stay at a Haunted Hotel? Now’s your chance to get them on the cheap. Hey, maybe the ghosts will throw in a free midnight massage or floating tea cup service.
You’ll definitely know the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, which was Stephen King’s inspiration for The Shining. Locals say it’s a hub of paranormal activity. There are a lot of staff reports out there about hearing distinct sounds of children playing when there aren’t any around, about liquor bottles inexplicably flying off the shelves, and of piano keys moving without assistance from anything or anyone else.
At the Captain Grant’s Inn in Preston, Connecticut built in 1754, there are guest reports of loud knocking, multiple sightings of mysterious ghostly apparitions of a woman and her two children, and, spookily enough, faint, disembodied child-like voices.
Deals (not the stay) end 10/31.
